Solar and Battery for New Construction/ADU Projects
Most new homes in California require solar panels and sometimes storage batteries. The system size that is required will come from the Title 24 consultant who will determine the minimum system size required. Read on for some considerations when installing solar during construction.

Title 24 Requirements
Your architect will have a Title 24 consultant that will work on getting your project a score that will Pass. This will generate the DC system size that is required for your New Home or ADU Project. Many often have a battery nowadays as well.
Best Practices
When installing solar and battery on a new home or ADU, there are a number of considerations and strategies that will set your home or ADU up for success:
-Install the solar footings and attic boxes during roofing, on top of the underlayment.
-Run your flex inside of the walls while they are still open. Think after MEP inspection but before insulation, and then pull the wire ahead of time, not after drywall.
